Mission
Our mission is to teach "The Montessori philosophy of education" through the learning materials and methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori (1890-1952) in Italy.
Dr. Montessori observed that the most important years in the education of the child are from birth to six years. She described the child's mind during this period of development as "unconsciously absorbing information from the environment." During this formative period, the child has a "spontaneous" urge to learn.
Therefore it is important for us to be committed to pursue this great discovery to the fullest extent and assist the child, to draw upon all his/her gifts and reach his/her potential to develop physically, socially and intellectually. We encourage both personal responsibility and mutual respect in and out of the classroom. The child is given the freedom of movement and choice to proceed at his/her own pace in a carefully prepared environment rich in warmth, kindness, respect and with the proper guidance by the loving and caring well trained Montessori teachers inspire the child to nurture curiosity, creativity and imagination.
